This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behavior and responsibilities of all students enrolled in the college. Adherence to these guidelines is mandatory to maintain the dignity of the institution and foster a positive community.
General Conduct & Discipline
- Respect and Courtesy: Students must show utmost respect and courtesy towards all faculty members, administrative staff, support staff, fellow students, and visitors within and outside the college premises.
- Language and Communication: Use polite, respectful, and professional language in all interactions. Abusive, offensive, or derogatory language is strictly prohibited.
- Discipline: Maintain discipline in classrooms, laboratories, library, canteen, common rooms, hostel, and during any college-organized events or trips. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
- Identification (ID Cards): All students must wear their valid college identity cards at all times while on campus.
- Punctuality: Students are expected to be punctual for all classes, practical sessions, examinations, and college events.
Academic Integrity
- Honesty in Academics: Students must strictly adhere to academic honesty. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, collusion, or unfair means during assignments, projects, practicals, or examinations is strictly prohibited and will lead to severe disciplinary action.
- Assignment Submission: Submit all academic assignments and coursework by the stipulated deadlines.
Campus Environment & Property
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness on campus. Dispose of waste in designated bins. Littering is strictly forbidden.
- Noise Levels: Maintain silence in academic zones (classrooms, library, laboratories) and keep noise levels to a minimum in common areas.
- Use of College Property: Handle college property (furniture, equipment, laboratory apparatus, library books, computers) with care. Any damage caused due to negligence or willful intent will result in penalties and recovery costs.
- Restricted Areas: Students are forbidden from entering restricted areas of the college unless granted explicit permission by the authorities.
- Parking: Park vehicles only in designated parking areas.
Prohibited Activities
- Ragging (Zero Tolerance): The college has a Zero-Tolerance Policy against Ragging. Any act of ragging, physical or mental harassment, intimidation, or abuse, directly or indirectly, is strictly prohibited. Involvement in ragging will result in immediate expulsion from the college and legal action as per the Anti-Ragging Act.
- Harassment and Discrimination: Any form of sexual harassment, bullying, discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, gender, disability, or any other ground is strictly prohibited.
- Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco: Consumption, possession, or distribution of alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, tobacco products (including bidis, cigarettes, gutka, paan), or any intoxicants is strictly prohibited on campus or during college-related activities.
- Weapons: Carrying any kind of weapons, firearms, or sharp objects on campus is strictly forbidden.
- Gambling: Gambling in any form is prohibited on campus.
- Unauthorized Gatherings/Strikes: Organizing or participating in unauthorized meetings, demonstrations, strikes, or political activities on college premises is not permitted.
- Defamation: Spreading false rumors or engaging in any activity that defames the college, its faculty, staff, or students is unacceptable.
Dress Code
- Appropriate Attire: Students are expected to dress modestly, neatly, and appropriately at all times while on campus and during college-organized events. Attire should reflect the decorum and professionalism expected of future teachers.
Use of Electronic Devices
- Mobile Phones: Mobile phones must be switched off or kept on silent mode during classes, lectures, examinations, and official meetings. Their use should not be disruptive to the learning environment.
- Recording: Unauthorized audio or video recording of classes, faculty, staff, or fellow students is prohibited.
Violation and Disciplinary Action
Any violation of this Code of Conduct will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include, but is not limited to:
- Verbal or written warning
- Imposition of fines
- Suspension from classes or college
- Restriction from using college facilities
- Withholding of examination results
- Expulsion from the college
- Legal action, where applicable
The college reserves the right to amend this Code of Conduct at any time. All students are advised to regularly check for updates and adhere to the latest regulations.
By enrolling at Trimurti Rural Boyss B.Ed College, each student implicitly agrees to abide by this Code of Conduct and contribute to a positive and respectful academic community.
